Investors will be Attracted by Indonesia’s Presence at Dubai Expo

Indonesia's participation in the 2020 Dubai Expo is one of the steps being taken to build nation branding in contributing to the global economy. It has the potential to attract investors to invest in the country.

The potential to attract investors can be realized through Indonesia's efforts to introduce its culture and natural resources. The government, through the Indonesian Pavilion in the Dubai Expo, will showcase various cultures, such as traditional dances and music, as well as innovation, technology, and the advancement of domestic trade. All aspects displayed are packaged through a single theme, called Creating the Future, From Indonesia to The World, with the concept of 'Connecting Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow'.

This concept elucidates the story of Indonesia's historical journey and the crucial roles of the economy and trade in the global arena in the past, present, and future readiness. Moreover, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will hold the Indonesia Spice Up The World (ISUTW) program to introduce Indonesian cuisine to the world. ISUTW is also a platform to promote native Indonesian herbs and spices in the rolling exhibition area of the Indonesian Pavilion to drive exports of spices. Not only attracting investors, but Indonesia's participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai also has the potential to attract foreign tourists to visit Indonesia, on account of the fact that this event will showcase the country's natural beauty.

A total of 25 million people are projected to attend the World Expo 2020 Dubai in the United Arab Emirates from October 20, 2020, to April 10, 2021.
